At St John’s we assert that learning is ordered and progressive and should takes place in an atmosphere of security and shared purpose. At St. John’s we believe that there is personal value for all as we maximise and enhance learning for every pupil in order to promote good progress, achievement and maximum attainment..

In order to ensure 'continuous progress' in schools' provision and pupil learning, monitoring and evaluation informs planning. The school's self evaluation form (SEF) identifies school strengths and areas for development and priorities from this contribute to the school improvement plan.

" The curriculum is dynamic and exciting. Teachers establish very good relationships with pupils and manage their classes very well. Assessment and marking are used effectively to ensure that work is well matched to individual and group needs."

(Ofsted 2008)
